it's at the front office and my apt. is too far. I can use it in the common areas closer to the front office. I just did the math. I've been paying comcast $984/year plus I own my own modem and router.

I know your neighbors kinda suck ass from what I hear, but perhaps you and someone close to you could split it and just share the same modem/router?

 

or maybe ask someone if you can pay them 15 a month for their wifi password or something?

ditto- I have MTS on Chrome and use it sometimes, for hits that require it or if I need Nifty Split to do the hits- and I keep it up to date.

 

Knowing how much my fam pays for cable + internet every month makes me cry.

 

You can get gigabit fiber for $60/mo in many parts of the US but I pay Comcast $120/mo for ~250/15

 

my year with comcast is over this month before they start charging me their "non-introductory" pricing.

So I'm going to have to go through this whole dance of cancelling soon. Not looking forward to it

 

that xfinity subreddit you post sometimes, are there people on there that can save you the time of pseudo-canceling for re-introductory pricing?

I've them hand out deals without having to do a dance before but it depends. You can basically just ask if there are any deals.
