Wanted to give a 'shout out' (I'm not sure if that's what you guys call it, but hope you know what I mean)
to @coffeeowl ! The other night I was outside at 3 in the morning feeling kind of anxious for having
woken up and having to watch and listen to the recording in my brain which reminds me of every
single lousy thing that's ever happened to me or that I've done to others. It's an awful way to wake up,
but many of us depressive types have to deal with it on a semi-regular basis.
Normally I wouldn't expect to get back to sleep for several hours, if at all, but all of a sudden one of her
colleagues started hooting (I sort of think 'cooing' would be a better word) and although I'm not real
fond of many bird noises, it was just such a pleasant relaxing sound that I felt better and got right back to sleep.
