05/09 - Treasure Tuesday!

School for a BS in Computer Engineering comes with a high five figure to lowish six figure job.

 

For me, this is one of three jobs, but by far the most profitable. I've made as much in the past 2 days on mturk than I make in 2 weeks at my office job, and today's PE is just shy of what I make in one week at job #3. I would rely on mturk solely if I could, but the unpredictability scares me. If I could roll all that money together into one job, I would. But I live in Illinois right now and this state is an economic joke. And also fuck bras. And pants. And most people.

Looks like the qual can be done over again. I just accepted a qual HIT...I shouldn't be able to.

 

If I could handle not punching the "triple double mocha chi half caf but full caf nonfat soy mango goobers latte" types in the throat I would apply there cuz they pay like $18 in SF to start out lol

I have only been doing this for about 8 months, but I still learn something new every day. If you keep trying to learn, you'll only get better. Don't be afraid to try new things, and learning even basic scripting can go a long way. I made it to $200/week by week 3, because I did A LOT of reading and note taking. I don't make that much more now, but I probably make it in a quarter of the time.

 

Here's something I'll never miss from my restaurant/bar working days.

Think I'm going to have nightmares tonight after seeing this.

 

I made $200 last week, my 2nd week, and I did none of that stuff. Just installed some scripts and clicked as many things as I could on these threads. I'll do the reading when I get tired of being so passive.

 

A random sampling of the "notes" I took, mostly when people would talk in code and there was A LOT less exporting. This was all gibberish to me 8 months ago, lol

I was going for a BS in Biotechnology like 10 years ago but never followed through... now I'm going for a BS ( bullshit) in Mtuck for pennies an hour. I'm living the dream.

 

I, and a lot of others I'm sure, messaged him after the first qual posting to express a need for time to read the instructions properly, and to please post again. He answered right away, he seems responsive, and might be a thoughtful requester on some levels. I just wish they were a little more lucrative.

 

thats about where i got my first 200 week too. right now im at a little more than a month of turking but 200 a week is super doable. although i know i should be able to get at least 300 a week

 

I think I got my mturk setup back up and ready to go after work tomorrow. Excited to get back into turking to help save up money to pay bills and to get some fitness equipment for my apartment. Hoping I can go to turking full time sometime this year after I get in a good swing of things because retail is misery. I'll need to save up to get a new laptop and better internet connection because both are really slow, so I at least got a goal to look forward to to help keep that motivation.
