The splitter doesn't give more power, so if you plug a 1-to-5 splitter and plug 5 fans, you'll split the available power in 5 and your fans won't be able to spin at max speed (probably, depends on the header voltage and fans, but usually). A y splitter is fine, but if you want more than that, I'd recommend a power fan hub to ensure enough electricity. or you can put a 1-to-5 if you don't need them to be able to reach max speed and just want more fans.

And you don't have more than those two headers? at that points, I'd go more towards a powered hub to be able to put two in front and 1-2 at the top (if you can). How many headers you have?

 

I only have 1 free. Cpu has it's own header and then one for the exhaust.

 

Oh then a y splitter with two fans in the front should be fine in my opinion.
