I think I've returned like 5 writing task surveys this morning O.O so many

 

Just in general. I've built up a nice cash position and hate seeing that money rot away not doing anything in my checking account. I was wondering if you guys had already done some research as to where to put it we could share some ideas. Individual stocks that are open to the public tend to be quite a risk with limited upside returns.

If you work for a company that matches on a 401k - max that out. If not, and you haven't maxed out an IRA - then do that. This is a better option than simply investing in the stockmarket due to it's tax advantages. If you're investing for retirement, and it's still a ways away - then a stock index fund in an IRA is a safe bet.
