Fwiw, a couple of the cats literally just don't like the one box because it's covered or who knows. Even after I took the cover off, won't use it. I had to get an entirely different in every way setup for the second, and a couple of the cats will ONLY use that one. It can even be stuff like the litter or location or stress, or a UTI issue. There's a lot of factors that go into that and each cat is their own unique little monstrosity.

 

I have 2 basic ones that are just front entry with a cover, the other 2 look like a bucket with a top on it and a hole the cat goes in.....so they go in from the top and their head sticks out.

I mainly have 4 because my house is so big.

Yeah, 2 of the ferals won't use any cover, front or top. They don't like being enclosed it seems. I had to get them a normal litter pan, which they demolish. It could be that, tbh. I put a normal tray litter pan in the spot where Scraggles would pee, and he started using that, but he won't touch the other types.

Have you tried putting a basic litterbox in the bathroom where he's peeing in the sink? Worth a shot! Coug wouldn't pee in the litter closet for a good while, and I had to slowly move his litter box an inch or two every day until he started going in the litter closet. Even then, he won't touch anything covered/enclosed/etc. If I didn't accomodate him, he'd go back to using my shower.

 

He pees......in my kitchen sink....

 

What is IN the box tho? Some cats are picky af about what litter they use. If it is dusty af my cats will not touch it.

 

Well I went from 2 boxes to 4, once I went to 4 it's happened way less I think he was mainly just concerned about going to the box when another cat wanted to attack him.

Coug used to pee in my shower. I had to figure out what he wanted/needed so he'd pee in a tiny box instead of my shower box. Cats are fickle and have preferences.

Never had issues with cats peeing where they shouldn't thankfully.

But I scored an orange with a knife and put it on the dresser I keep my plants on to stop my cat from jumping up there to chomp on 'em. Cat doesn't jump up there anymore because he's scared of oranges for whatever the fuck.

Try putting an orange in your sink. Maybe your cat's retarded like mine
