    Pretty sure they are white pine, with some heartwood in there. So softwood. Otherwise I probably would have been done a couple days ago but I didn't want to sand through them so had to start with a finer grit. Should be done with sanding today though.

    Pine was pretty popular for flooring in the late 1800 and early 1900s.

    Don't do it yourself. My wife and I have done tons of building and home stuff and thought this would be like a day or two job. Holy shit, this was way more work than we imagined. If you ever decide to do it, hire some one.

    Actually nope.... bought it as a starter plant from a local small garden store last month and they have just gone crazy so far. I made my own compost for this season though so maybe that did the trick. I have like 10-15 more cucumbers that weren't quite ready to pick yet.
