Search mode is slow and rarely works well imho

 

That's true but very inefficient. By the time it sees that a hit has come up in search and then turns around and tries to panda it, it's gone. I ran three and caught one within a few minutes.

 

I caught 3 in about 4 mins. Whatever works for you, keep doin that.
