    Honestly, I think you're right. The most effective way to condition a specific behavior is to reward randomly and infrequently. My guess is that there are some rough parameters, and then it's a random draw after that. It makes the most sense for mturk to do it that way, from a business standpoint.

    For single hits, it may not matter too much. It stings when there are batches that are only Masters. People have made good money. That's when I forsake Amazon.
