    I hate it when survey writers get cute and start putting attention checks in the damn boilerplate consent page. Like...c'mon, you read one consent/IRB page you've read them all. There isn't anybody on mturk who's done more than 5 surveys doing more that skimming an IRB/consent page.

    I will carefully read every other page in the survey, but if I had to read "This survey is expected to cause no negative effects on participants" over and over and over it WILL actually cause a negative effect....
