I had a Stanford professor double bonus me and demand I send him the bonus back through Venmo or PayPal and I just sent him this gif back.

 

In all seriousness. Just ignore them or tell them you do not have a PayPal account. they can't do anything.

I told the Stanford Professor to email amazon because I did not know how to send him the bonus back, I asked him to show me how to send the money back through amazon pay.. he never responded back.

 

Legit, just ignore them. 100% don't reply or have any interaction with them. Not your fault they fucked up. Maybe they should have been more careful. This is a valuable lesson to learn for them.

They can block you and they might. Any requester can. It's just a risk we take. We've seen this happen before but not for such a piddly amount. This is ridiculous. I'd ignore it. Given time I think the requester will realize they are being petty and forget about it. I wouldn't deal with this off the platform because your anonymity is gone and with PayPal and venmo tied to your bank I wouldn't let them have any of your personal information.

 

sometimes they try to steal from their university too. They double bonus and then ask people to send the money back to their personal venmo or paypal account.

 

i try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but there's always a chance that a req account was funded from another source (like their school) which can't be .. yeah what he said

 

Pretty sure they have your personal info to some degree... doesn't Amazon give them your name and bunch of other info if they ask? Pretty sure they do.

 

no they cant .. your amazon ID is all they have.

 

I'm not 100% but I think they only have access to your email if you message them. Once you contact them they will have your name since its likely tied to your email account.

 

If you contact them they get your name that's tied to your Amazon. That's why I tend to not contact requesters much

 

Wow... really. I get contacted a lot by email asking if I would be interested in doing Skype calls and stuff.... Me thinks I better go read the Amazon TOS

 

They can email you through mturk without your email but they won't know it unless you reply or send them one etc.

 

Well I always reply cause I'm polite like that. Great now a gang of Chinese survey trolls are gonna stalk meh. FML

 

safeway in my area is having a deal in the flyer. $6 for all the smores ingredients. 1 bag jumbo marshmallows, 1 box graham crackers, 1 pack of 6 hersheys chocolate bars. bad news is I don't know how you are going to figure out how to mail us all smores if you get that deal.

 

Safeway also has great smores cookies. They are incredibly good.
