Wow. So, here's how my day has went these past few days.

I applied to several locations online and in person, and even had an interview! Biked 14 miles to get there. The owner asked me three questions, What do you do, Do you have a car, Would you like any food? Just like that *snaps* the interview was over. I couldn't get him to start a conversation with me. Another guy in the city didn't reply to my request about Facetime interviews.

Then, I spent another 3 hours today reading about new openings because that's always a good time to meet people and get your foot back in the door. Sent three more resumes to hotels I have already tried to get to poach me and a few more restaurant groups. Found some friends moved back to the city and didn't have any attractive offers for me yet.

That sums up my job search this week. If I could add up the time I spent in the last three years doing this very thing, it's much like a part time job at this point. I was sad I missed an open call in February during the polar vortex, but I didn't have a ride anyways.

In between, I'm just very happy I found you guys because debt was eating my heels and yeah I'm just grateful I earned 20 dollars today.

 

Why do they have open calls in the winter anyways? That really favors people who already live there over people relocating to the city.. I asked my mom what she thought about that and he agreed.
