    That sucks. I had something like that for about 6 weeks after I injured my spine in a car accident. My right shoulder was useless and my left shoulder and arm would spasm and freeze up. It went away after some intense physical therapy, but it was painful, frustrating and exhausting.

    Getting back to work did help me a bit though. The routine was good and using my arms again for more than holding beer and taking painkillers made me get better a lot faster.

    I think this will work out for me as well. I was riding my bicycle home from work one afternoon and it began to rain. I kept riding and ended up getting splashed by a car that was passing. I jerked the handle bars on the bike and took a bad spill. The upper part of my left arm landed against a concrete curb. My humerus broke right below my shoulder joint. I got back on my bike and rode the rest of the way home, then called my boyfriend (he was at work) and said "I might need a ride to the emergency room". I was in shock at that point. He showed up 12 minutes later and took me to see the doc, who kept calling me a trooper, because I wasn't complaining. It has been a long ride to recovery though.
