oK. I'm not political so I don't want to engage more. CT will appreciate that. It would be nice to have the added help some people got, and I agree that it sucks that we all don't get it. But that's with any situation anywhere. Back to dick and fart jokes.

 

Whatever works lol. I had to teach myself Modern Portfolio Theory from lots of youtube lmao. I am a psychology major so I had little to no background in finance or economics before this except for the little I dabbled in it for debate.

Yeah, it sucks. I can't do my batches like this. I think I might just take the day off if this keeps up. It's really frustrating.

 

I'm a technophile, but I still can't see the big clamber for 5G. I can understand if you live in a major metropolitan city where the extra bandwidth is actually useful, but for everyone else... why does it matter. YouTube and the random BS games I play on my phone aren't going to stream better with 5G over 4G.

 

It's good for the people that try to do everything with their phone net I guess, I can't imagine trying to stream and cast everything with my phone internet though.

 

So is this a vote for or against living in an open-air microwave as we bathe in 5G, and eventually 6G 24/7/365?

No, my son managed to graduate somehow...my daughter is at work and that was a fiasco.

 

It's not for us. It's for the mega corporations to get their autonomous vehicles and Internet of Things up and running so they can figure out how to employ fewer people at even lower (relatively) wages.

 

Well we all know automation is coming, I refuse to use self checkout because I didn't go shopping to work, if you give me a discount for doing a job I'll consider it.

This is the horsepower problem all over again. It's great that your car can go 0 to 90 in a blink of an eye with a top speed of 500mph, you're still going to spend 95% of your drive time doing 45. For muscle/sports cars, it makes sense. You're buying the ability for speed, but this is like trying to upsell everyone on the new Accord that can qualify for NASCAR.

 

why would they need or want 5g for that? I've never understood why we even need or want faster internet because it already is fast.

 

5G is more about constant connection than speed. Internet to everything 24/7 instead of on demand/burst. Yes it's faster and the marketing people are using that. But it's an infrastructure change more than a speed bump.

 

Because it can handle more load and the more free roaming load handling net that is out there the easier it is to have something like a self driving car.
