I will say that there are plenty of people in higher levels that genuinely care, far more than are out for themselves only, its just they are never heard from. They are the people who quietly do their jobs, and do them well.

Could be, I know around here retail jobs are posting signs about being understaffed because workers are basically refusing to take jobs that don't pay 15 an hour.

 

Cashiers bagging your items is a n American concept it seems to me. I have only seen that over here.

 

He was low key making a joke about working retail long term I believe. No offense taken.

 

I was referencing politicians mainly, I laughed when each side fights with each other when in reality they are all the same.

 

This. As someone who did 5 years in retail and 6 more in call centers, you have my sympathies.

 

so.. y'all don't skip self checkout because of the anxiety and fear of something going wrong and a bunch of sounds going off to alert everyone? .... k

 

I've enjoyed everything I've got from there. But they've only been in my town for a couple of months.

 

See I was told self checkout was great for people with anxiety because then they don't have to talk to anyone.

 

I got the hell out of retail when I realized Walmart management only hires/promotes management based upon ass kissing and not work ethic. The one that did do that in our store for a bit got fired. It was ridiculous.

 

I mean that for politicians too. If you removed the 10-15% ego driven loud mouths from both ends of the spectrum, I bet you'd have an amazingly efficient government.

 

I got to self checkout because I literally hate interacting with other human beings, tbh.

 

They are pretty great. I was surprised to see them over here since we have had them for a long time in Denmark. Good prices on good products and they seem to pay their employees well too.

 

I like Aldi quite a bit. Can't find everything there, but the prices are always fair. The produce is hit or miss.

 

I'm moving to Denmark it has to be an upgrade from Missouri.
