I saw one on a YT video in some multi-million dollar house. The seat opened when you came near it but it was faster to open it yourself. I know there are trash cans like this at HD, I believe. I have a motion sensor trashcan, but I wouldn't call it smart! It's a bit harder for most of the critters to open, at least, and I got it on sale! A couple of them have vaguely figured out how to use it, but not well enough to consistently open it, just occasionally manage to wave their paw over the sensor.

On the other hand, had a full grown engineer sit there and pry it open before he realized what was up.
