I just have one bush that I planted on the fence between mine and my neighbor's yard so we could share. It's a thornless because I spent soooooo many years as a kid getting all scratched up picking them with Grandma (while fishing for catfish).

Mine aren't anywhere near ripe yet and I'm sad, lol. I can't wait to eat them.

But, we did get a bazillion cherries this year and I just finished eating all of those up! And Kiddo sold them out front of our house and made bank, lol!

Yeah like none of ours are ripe they JUST started to turn red and I looked in a little deeper and there was a black one that just kinda slipped right off when I touched it. SUPER thorny and a pain in the ass to deal with. It's shooting those like 8' tall runners everywhere which is why I knew it was probs a blackberry bush.

Really make your yard work for you! Get more berry bushes and sell stuff at the peak seasons! People pay stupid money for 'homegrown organic' things!

Like you I have runners. I've found them in the lawn 5' or more from the bush. It's crazy!

We would never get enough blackberries to sell, but we have two cherry trees and we've sold them for years. For about three years in a row it rained at the exact wrong time and decimated the cherry crop so we had none to sell. We did so well this year as my neighbors were happy to see us selling again. We sell them stupid cheap, too, because the only thing they cost is my labor up on a ladder!
