I took RA's advice eek and contacted the requester. They were quick to write me back:

Thanks for contacting us! We haven't heard about TurkerView before, but we do understand that the base pay for acceptance is below the normal hourly federal minimum wage rate (the average time it takes to complete the experiment straight through is 1 hour and 30 mins). To compensate for this, we are actually awarding bonuses of up to 12 dollars based on people's performance to encourage them to work on the HIT without being distracted or losing concentration given the monotony of the task. We forgot the update the details about bonuses of the experiment so I would ignore the five dollar bonus since it should say twelve instead. As for your performance, you earned a $9.50 bonus.

As for the other reviews, they are correct in that it took only 50 minutes since the experiment in the past had only one 50 minute session. The current version has two 45 min sessions for data analysis reasons. We apologize for the inconsistency between the current version and the past version of the experiment based on the reviews.
