06/19 - Monarch Monday

Oh boy, I wish I could say braces don't suck, but they totes do. Hugs! I had to have 6 permanant teeth pulled on top of countless baby teeth to even get braces cause my mouth is too small to fit a normal adult amount of teeth. Yeah, laugh it up folks, Bird has a lot less teeth than everyone else cause my mouth is literally too small. I fucking hated braces and for some reason they didn't sedate me for the perm teeth removal so...it was brutal AF. Just think how nice your smile will look when it's done though!

How many hours a day do you spend eating bro? And like, hate to break it to ya, but all of us who endured braces wear retainers at night for life. And when you don't, your teeth go all crooked again. And even when you do, sometimes they still try. I have to get a retainer in the next few years for during the day too cause my teeth think they shouldn't have to be next to each other or point downwards.

 

Some are just harder to identify than other.

I'm right there with you dude. I kick myself all the time for not buying a '70 Chevelle SS when I was graduating high school. Fully restored and only wanted like 12 grand for it.

This. A thousand times. Just because the braces are gone doesn't mean shit doesn't still suck. I broke my jaw a few years back and went to the orthodontist to see what kind of damage it did to my expensive post braces teeth. He estimated another $4200 and 2 more years of braces on top and bottom. All ot correct about a 2 mm movement of 2 teeth. NOPE.

So thankful I got the permanent retainer on the bottom.

 

I drink a LOT of soda and tea. and I love to chew gum and eat pecks of candy throughout the day. so...

 

Sounds like your teeth already hate you then. Soda basically eats your enamel.

 

See, Matt has one of those! I wish I did. But, I grew up super poor so it's lucky I had braces at all.

Well dude, it's either do what you gotta do so you can fix your teeth or look like a hillbilly with janky teeth forever. Do you want fucked up teeth? Cause that's how you get fucked up teeth!

 

Having a regular retainer probably would have ended up costing me more from having to get new ones made when I lost it lol.

 

I'd say cut the soda anyway just out of principle. I've also never been to a dentist, woop woop. I grew up with a family that don't believe in doctors.

 

It's just gonna be a "lifestyle" adjustment. I'll be fine. I'll get a lot of yogurt and "drink" it :x

Coffee - when consumed black actually has health benefits. And i'm not even going to go down the weed road as far as benefits/drawbacks.
