That's what makes this odd. She's fully crate trained. She has a crate 3 feet from my bed. It's a plastic one, so more "enclosed" (meaning not open mesh wire, it's like a travel crate). She's been happily sleeping in that or on the bed with me for years. The crate is always her "safe place" (also where she's told to go when she's in trouble. "Go to your room! Bad girl! Go to your room!" and she knows just where to go...)

She's NEVER slept under the bed. The cats do. She does not. Until this whole dementia thing showed up.

Oh sweet puppers!

I have to say disembodied voices are kind of eerie, so I'm with Jack on this one.

(And yeah, Dessa has a crate in my room, the safest of all safe places. This is what Lucy did when Dess went there for safety the very day we brought Lucy home...But Lucy and Lotta both respect the crate and never go in it or go after Dessa when she's in the crate.)
