When I first started turking there was a decent group of regulars over there.

I think a lot of the hate that gets spewed at Reddit and HWTF is due to it serving a different audience. A lot of the HWTF turkers are much more casual turkers, putting in an hour or two a day or turking from work, than our core group is here.

Oh and we used to use monetized links when posting hits. Before someone cried to Reddit admins about it, I was making ~$200/mo from adfly.
