I had a zinger last night I spent an hour on, instead of getting a code, they said I missed an attention check in the instructions. Now I wish I would have submitted it.

 

If you're talking about the annazlab study maybe you should contact them and ask for compensation. I got the same message that you did at the end of the study late last night, submitted with my worker ID and sent them a strongly worded email. They approved the hit this morning and sent an apology letter thanking me for my time. It would probably be worth a try.
