At least I'm getting my money's worth.

 

My hoa has a policy about how long your trash can can be visible from the street before/after trash day wednesday (hint: it's not long), BUT AN UNNAMED MEMBER OF THE HOA BOARD ON MY STREET LIKES TO PUT HER STUPID GARBO LADY CRAP OUT WAY EARLIER & LATER THAN THE REST OF US PLEBS CAN WITHOUT GETTING FINED!

Ahem, I mean, it doesn't bother me at all. I don't want to THIS IS SPARTAAAAA her trashcan over or anything and I definitely didn't point it out to the other member of the hoa board who is batcrap crazy about the trashcans to the point he walks around moving them...except I did, and I now get to watch him drag her trashcan up her driveway and lean it against her garage door like a dozen times a week.

This is to say, without the forum reminding me it's Wednesday, I'd probably forget to roll my trashcan out because someone likes to ticket me for taking it out on a tuesday evening, even tho hers has been there since fucking sunday night but whatever!

This crap is why I will never live in a place with an HOA

 

Just live in an apartment that removes the dumpsters and then charges people for trash bags instead. Most people just ended up illegally dumping trash at like 1AM and I'm glad that I don't live there anymore lmao.

 

Normally, me either, but it's either HOA, the scary part of town, or paying 600-800 more a month for the bot to commute 35 minutes to work in both directions...so, meh.

We've been tacitly looking at places that are about 20 minutes away where the rent is only like 300ish more a month, but also mostly hoas or regulated developments, cause it's all in unincorporated towns where people run buckwild in the desert without some sort of insane hoa rulerWith the bot looking to move in the next year or two, just doesn't make sense to buy a place or pay way more for the same exact house but without hoa lol.
