I honestly think it's just an incredibly weird (in a bad omen way) thing to do. Imagine the person running the drive through at McDonalds asked if they could write down your name, email, and home address every time you ordered a mcdouble and you also saw them side eyeing your credit card reaaaaal hard when you handed it over. Why the ever loving buck would they do that?

TurkPrime's role on MTurk is drive through operator. They aren't the platform, they shouldn't be privy to platform level knowledge, and the platform says as much but they're doing it anyway.

On an individual worker level I wouldn't care. You're fine. Hell if you want money and are in the US I'd probably recommend filling it out - except - MTurk could in theory retaliate by nuking your account if they get into a pissing match over it. Highly unlikely, but the only caveat I could think of from a worker POV.

Thanks for responding. That's a reasonable take, I'll try to relax, haha. I generally don't stress too much about university-based requesters (which is who I am normally emailing), but that's a strong argument in favor of being a lot more careful in general.
