helllooo, been a while friends, has mturk gotten any better this year? last year when i tried it i barely made 10 a day for like 5 hrs of work....

It's quite slow. Mostly ok rates, but not a lot of work. Good studies almost all moved over to Prolific with a few good ones on Cloud Connect too.

 

Just did that long sound task thing /.... they promised a small bonus/ sigh.

It's ironic that CloudResearch worked so hard to destroy MTurk, and they just drove the decent requesters to Prolific. Great environment over there, I hope they continue to grow.

 

Did that surveycomet chatbot thing/.... timed out LOL. Then I accepted another one of same task and submitted the code into that one.

 

do you meaan prolific or cloud research when you said great environment? also what did cloud do to mturk? i've been away basically for 3 years. i just would try to make a little extra on mturk is there was nothing really and did keep up with it so what happened?

CloudResearch has pretty much been trying to turn the working pool into a specific type of demographic pool. Unfortunately by doing this they've shit on a lot of workers, and show zero respect for us as they push wild theories claiming many of MTurk's best workers are "low quality participants". They want to use a hand picked pool of predictable people and pretend it's research.

I have to wonder what the ulterior motive of CloudResearch aka Prime Research Solutions LLC aka Turkprime might be, why they work so hard to destroy an online survey platform. I'm sure they have their reasons, I guess that's to be expected from a "For Profit Organization" with $1.7 million in annual revenues.
