I've started to think about everything as a HIT. People actually expect me to "talk about a time" for $0/hr. No script! I have to generate the content. Everyday reality is going in my block file--do not work for these people!

Its not really that simple. If you don't have the quals to get the better hits, you are forced to take what is available to you, if you need the money (aka if you want to eat). I have worked quite a lot of hits I would turn down if I had the option to work better qual'd hits

 

Just like any other hit. Check the TV reviews/ratings and go from there.

 

Nothing that starts with "collective action" is feasible in this space. The only thing I've seen it successfully implemented in is grifting money from academics who haven't left a college campus in 30 years.
