    This reminds me of the story my sister regaled me with when my dad's father died. They got into arguments over what was in his apartment, each grabbing whatever furniture they could fit into their trucks/haulers, and complaining that all the good stuff was picked through by my aunt already. Then they all booked it, leaving their father's ashes at the funeral home because no one wanted to get them. The cherry on top of this dreadful story was my dad, mom and siblings driving down the freeway and seeing dad's brother broke down, and laughing as they drove by.

    My grandma has a crazy amount of tea sets and dinner sets. My grandpa would buy her a new set every time he got sent somewhere. One of her china sets has 15 settings, like who the fuck has that many? She had so many tea sets that she started asking all the girls in the family to pick one for themselves. Some of the boys are sitting here saying, 'I like tea'. She still has about 20 sets left, plus one of those British Stirling sets that's about $2K last time I checked. Can't wait to see all that stuff listed on my aunt's ebay page. Gonna be such a waste.
