I had a portabella mushroom "burger" once at a friends house. They invited me for dinner, and I didn't want to be rude so I tried my best. One bite and my mouth was full of goosh and it went down my throat even though I didn't try to swallow because of the slime. I couldn't help it and threw up on my plate. I felt so bad that I insulted their delicious (to them) dinner. But man that was god awful.

Omg I am the same way! But not just about rejection odd numbers.. I don't like when the end of my daily PE is anything but 0c or 5c. It drives me insane. I will do the shittiest penny hits just to fix that. I'm fine with the weekly or monthly or whatever, but my PE has to be RIGHT on the end.

I believe this. When I moved to the States, I started to find out about all the "interesting" events and festivals and celebrations nearby. There was a mushroom festival at Kennett Square (SE PA) which I visited early on. I don't remember much about it and we haven't been back since, because, really, there's only so much one can celebrate about mushrooms, no matter how yummy you think they are.

I also visited a shad festival in New Hope PA and Lambertville NJ, which is where I found out what the h*** a shad is supposed to be. I personally disagree it's worthy of its own festival, but I was very new to the country and considered it best to keep that sort of un-American thought to myself.

 

Should've kept it that way commie. Shadup and don't go saying dumb stuff about an iconic piece of American lakery.
