no like 2 weeks - 2 years from now. but yeah I don't want to clean the shower again.

You guys ever have one of those things you're like "eff that not paying someone else to do it when I can do it myself for half the cost" then get done and realize if you were rich you 100% would have gladly paid 3x the price you thought someone would've charged to begin with?

If not try changing out some old ass electrical outlets

I've always wondered just how bad that hurts.. I'm not one to mess with 1) electricity or 2) heights whatsoever, but we do a Habitat for Humanity thing every year in college and I remember this old dude who was a retired electrician at one house we were at.. he asked me "did you cut off the breaker to these lights?" --- I said yea, but wasn't 100% sure it was marked correctly and dude didn't blink, just crawled his old self up a ladder to the ceiling (like 20' up) and used his bare hand to see if it was hot or not.

The stomach drop of thinking I may be the reason some poor guy bites the dust is something I'll remember til the day I accidentally electrocute myself to death.

 

I've lost count on what clone # we are on with CT so that isn't entirely true.

 

Oh [redacted] no. It's at least romex (or w/e insulated wire is) but all the outlets are janky (not tamper proof) so gotta replace them because apparently humanity surviving decades before TR outlets were a thing just isn't good enough. What we've done to natural selection as a species is justification for a new flood/plague/dealer's diety's choice mass extinction event

 

That's one thing I'm scared to death of is electricity. I won't even touch an appliance cord if my hands are the slightest bit damp, I'm absolutely paranoid.

 

There are also 2 that only have the wires for half the outlet (..why? WHY????) and one I legit opened up and just put a blank cover over b/c whatever was in there was not capable of generating safe electricity LOL (I'm pretty sur ethe 2 missing lines were jammed in that sob)

Oh that was a diff thing but man do I miss H4H during homecoming lol.. I think they eventually banned the Fraternities from participating

 

I feel "replace a few breakers without killing the buzzbar" confident with electricity but not like "trust a frat dude's word that he killed the breaker" confident. I applaud this man.

 

Whew, not in my years, luckily!

Nailing wood with frat boys during homecoming was one of my fondest times.

 

And building houses, too!
