I feel you on that point, he kind of sounds like a dumbass. But you also come off as ignorant to mental health issues. You guys need group therapy fasho fasho.

 

Do you think he would go for online therapy (either via skype or text-based)? That can be less anxiety-provoking for some people

 

I suggested that to him in May when he brought this up and he said he didn't want to talk to anyone just wanted to use CBD.

 

Talking to people about personal issues is hard.

 

Youre treating him like a child. So hes acting like one. This goes deeper than vaping in your house. Vaping smells like strawberry or whatever flavor you add, not the smell you even described. You were just looking for a reason.
You get on here and say he thinks he's an adult when he is. You are treating him with zero respect, like he doesn't matter because he doesn't listen to every word you say. Either own your part of this toxic relationship or kick out a family member with metal health issues that it sounds like you're just making worse. But know that while he broke the rules, you're not the poor parent that tried thier best. You're the ahole step parent eith control issues.

 

I understand that too, and I told him if he wanted to use CBD that was fine just to go out back on the deck and do it, that was it.

 

I recently made a trolley joke at a dinner party where I said, "it's like the trolley problem, only how do I kill EVERYONE?"

It was a hit & I knew that joke wouldn't have been half as funny on the forum.
