    So I did that $3 robot hit and when I went to submit it Amazon had signed me out and I couldn't complete the hit. I already emailed the requester, but this has happened to me a few times before with the surveys that open in a new window then report back to the hit that it's complete. Is there anything I should be doing to avoid this happening?

    mturk logs you out every 12 hours. The best way to avoid it happening when you don't want is to log out and back in when you start working for the day and after 12 hours if you stay on that long.

    Every once in awhile mturk wigs out and logs you out randomly anyway, but that's pretty rare.
