When I lived in New Mexico and I told them I was from Kentucky all I got was "and you're wearing shoes?"

 

There really isn't much to Illinois other than the northeast region. Everything else is basically rural corn fields.

The palisades possibly over by you is pretty nice too.

But basically you have northeast illinois (chicago suburbs)

Rockford which is surrounded by cornfields

Springfield that is also surrounded by corn fields

and Shawnee that is surrounded by southern illinois university frat hunter and fishermen

oh can't forget east st louis too. although it'd be for the best if we all did.
