I understand that, but it still speaks to why I don't enjoy it here. Why do we have to pretend to be religious, or have midwestern values while people talk shit about NY and California when in reality my beliefs are much closer to those...I've always been unapologetically being myself and I feel like my kids either can't do that or shouldn't do that because of consequences.

 

I get it. I mean, if you feel everything will be better if you move to a different state then, absolutely, go for it. Life is too short to be miserable.
