you won't get a 1099 unless a specific requester pays you more than $600. On your dashboard, it will show all of your earnings for 2019. When I've filed, I have filed as self-employed, and use that information from the dashboard and classify my work as an independent contractor. It's highly unlikely you will get a form from any specific requester. Also, keep in mind, without an employer paying half of income tax, you'll have to pay your share of 13.5 (?) % of your income in taxes. I have a lot of taxes taken out of another job to offset this. Otherwise, if you don't have that, I would try to make an estimate of what your tax liability will be (how much you expect to make in total this yr x 0.135) and start saving up to pay your fair share to Uncle Sam!
