I used to be a really picky eater when I was a kid, then I started smoking weed and it helped me expand my palette. I'll always be thankful for that even if I don't smoke anymore. It never made me paranoid, just lazy. I always hated that I would would be driving somewhere and just arrive without any recollection of the whole trip. Just start my car, find the perfect jams, then arrive at destination.

I respect your wishes of not drinking. In the long run your way is maybe the way to go. If someone keeps telling you to drink it's because maybe they want you to experience maybe what they got from alcohol? I have a nephew he never drank when he was young. He was very sharp and bright. His friends kept pressuring to drink,unfortunately he took their advice and he is a full blown drunk now like his friends. Sad because he had a great future.
