I sent it off to a few people. I haven't been using it much in the past year. I almost always cook at home now.

 

That's the best way. I used to cook a lot but Idk, this pandemic has me feeling morose. I don't want to cook or really do anything. At least this way you can try something out of your comfort zone more easily since takeout doesn't cost so much.

 

Yeah it is easy to get in that funk. I have a horrible habit of buying cookbooks. I usually will try to run through one before moving on. As sick as it sounds, I actually love cooking. I'm not huge on food items out of my comfort zone, as I still have many different ways to try the same foods I like, just cooked in a new way or adding to them to make it far better.

Just like the perfect tacos. I LOVE tacos, but finding nice little touches to keep improving them makes me so happy.

Current favorite: homemade topping salsa, skirt steak marinated in lime / salt and then fried in oil, chopped charred onion, julienne cut lettuce, colby jack cheese (habenero cheese if available), corn torilla lightly toasted on stove.

Old favorite: hamburger, any cheese I found, lettuce, taco bell sauce

Reading the incredibly lengthy and somewhat complicated instructions makes you feel like you've earned a halfway decent reward before you even start.

Cons:
I was very disappointed with my end result. I answered all comprehension questions correctly, but was apparently thrown out in the first part of the task for being slightly off with one (of several) of my mathematical responses.

Does your salsa have cilantro in it? That's my first thought for anything of this nature which includes lime.
Although, apparently, there's a certain percentage of unfortunate people who don't react well to that delicious stuff.
