Could this happen?

people have been saying mturk is dead since sometime before I joined the forums in 2014. the lag has gotten worse imo and the outages more frequent, but back in the day pre-2010 it was actually off-mturk problems that affected mturk a lot. for example just plain getting wifi and being able to work and dealing with heavier and more expensive laptops etc. hopefully they will get this fixed soon so we can move forward.

 

I saw someone on the mturk reddit sub say they were sent a bonus when their account was incorrectly suspended. It's hard to believe that would be applicable with so many accounts affected though.

 

I've seen outages lasting a few (4-5?) hours in the past, but I can't recall anything this long.

 

As much as this stinks for everyone, I am super happy to see bunches of you again.

has anyone heard from @cheezit ? I've been wondering about him for years. he was walking down the east coast and turking at the same time like from 5-10 years ago or something.

 

outages? yes, hours at most, not a day before that i can remember, and ive been here since 200.....8? 7?
if you mean bonuses, also no. ive seen someone say that there was someone on reddit or whatnot that SAID they were bonused but i dont think that was ever truly confirmed.

so I just ate breakfast for about 1/2 hr - 1 hr. then just rechecked finder with hits loaded MOST available first. the top batch only has 50 hits. but before there were a few batches with way more hits than that at the top of the list. something weird is going on with hits going up and down I'm sure.

well with so many people here today, maybe some really smart people can figure out if there is a coding problem on the "accepted hit" pages that we can have a workaround script for. to put in tampermonkey or as an extension.

I'm probably going back to sleep.
