08/28 - Out of Order Wednesday

As crazy as it sounds..this year has been one of my top 5 since 2014. ~24k, mainly closed quals

 

No work today means extra play time.

 

Right now I just submitted a couple of 5 cents HITs. I assume the issue is not for everyone.

 

Thank you for joining us. some NICE people might have a couple of questions because we don't know why we can't accept hits today.

 

Are these HITs you just accepted? Or old ones with a long timer?

 

Just accepted, very short timer. No issues in the last 13-14 hours or so

 

today, have you used any extensions or scripts to search for or accept hits? or did you manually click the accept button on the mturk website?

oh, you are running MTS right? so you probably have been using hit finder and maybe hit catcher?

 

What's really annoying and such a tease, you can click Preview and see the HIT but when you click Accept it get jack squat.

 

I don't know if I can trust someone whose username starts and ends with AI. That seems almost as bad as trusting someone wearing an asshat in their profile pic.

 

Panda Crazy + HIT forker as usual. But also catched a couple manually. I failed to catch most of the well-paid ones, a sign that someone else was able to catch and submit them, I suppose.

 

what browser, and if you can share a requester name to see if we can replicate? can you accept any hit or is it just from that specific requester?

 

Both Firefox and Chrome worked, I've done mainly Prof-VC, and a few A2Z (it's all low-paid crap, but that's another question).

 

I was using a really old version of PC, and recently a bunch of my scripts stopped working, had to get rid of most, replace the ones i still used regularly and upgrade to the pc extension. I assumed it was chrome, but maybe they changed something on their end too.

 

You can also force submit it, but it still wont pay.

 

Are you in the UK? I see in another place that a requester says they have not had an American worker submit a HIT today, but have had Brits.

 

what country are you in? are you using a VPN or something similar?
