the cheap model is a good gaming TV, picture is OK, HDR is fake but for ~300$ it can't be beat.

the ~500-600$ model is much nicer in terms of picture quality and HDR

Yeah. That's the thing. The $379 one is so cheap. Not sure I want to spend a bunch on one again. Last two TVs I've paid over $1000 for and now comparable ones are like $300 if even.

 

There are some great TCL tv's out there and are giving the big boys the run for their money. i just purchased the P6 series. I would highly recommend it , the picture is freaking amazing and you would think you are watching a $2k tv. Got it refurb for a steal. You could get the lower series like the 4 or 5 but the 6 is much more superior for gaming and 4K streaming content. Bought it from this seller a few months ago

how much 4k content are you going to watch?

games? youtube? you have the bandwidth? data cap?

distance sitting from the TV? etc.

 

yeah this the one 500-600, I think they were OOS on amazon for last year's series

 

I sit like 2 inches away from the tv and try to see the individual pixels.
