    Ignore this, I need coffee -> I believe ddr3 is the top this thing can handle.. I may be wrong (i am, regularly), but the 8 might be as far as i can push this particular model. I'll be looking into it a bit more; with it being the soldered slot, i'm gonna be forced to outsource the job anyway..

    Edit: my laptop takes ddr3.
