And I'm jealous of the curls! I think it is always that way though. Those with unruly curly hair would love theirs to be straight and vice versa.

 

I've been cutting my hair since I was...at least a teenager, if not earlier. I occasionally go to a stylist, but I have a hard time finding one who doesn't suck with curly hair and I prefer to do it myself most of the time anyway. Anyway, I learned the proper way to layer my hair right and got the fancy hair cutting shears and blah blah blah...

this all leads to last weekend, when one of the wives made a comment about how expensive hair cuts are and I gleefully holler, "I CUT MY OWN HAIR!"

The way I blurted it out, I sounded like a backwoods hillbilly and all the fancy womenz looked at me as such

 

But curly hair is amazing

I don't think I'm doing it right. I tried the curly girl method but it just made my hair more frizzy.

 

I'm at the beginning stages of growing out my pixie cut. It won't be long before I hit the full awkward grow out phase.

 

I had a lot of trial and error over the years.

I think I'll just stick with the same general hair cut and routine now that I have it down pat. I'm afraid of what will happen if I ever try something too different I had a full on afro for a couple years of my childhood cause my dad didn't know what to do with my hair...dark times!

 

I think this haircut makes me look like I'm in that phase.

When my hair was growing out the last time it fell out, I think I owned nearly every headband/scarf on the planet.

Headbands can hide a multitude of hair sins!

 

Ha, the reason I went to get it cut was actually because so much of it had fallen out from being anemic/postpartum. She gave me bangs because she said it would help. It's starting growing back in with the supplements so now I also have all these little baby hairs sticking up all over on top of the weird haircut. I think I'm just going to start wearing hats.
