    My dog is simultaneously smart and dumb. He won't get on the couch/recliner (he can I don't care). Instead, he will pull dirty clothes out of the basket and drag them to where he wants. He's like some kind of nest building dog where he will drag everything in the house to one spot so he can sleep like some kind of giant bird/dog hybrid.

    Instead of just getting on the soft couch

    Dogs love dirty clothes because they smell like you. Which is why I have to keep dirty clothes where King can't reach them, because he'd do the same thing.
