Also one time I ate a banana in a particularly yolo mood and I swelled up kinda bad under one eye, not super noticeable, but I felt it.

    Persisted for a couple hours.

I’m looking so hard for a pun in this.

But, also, like half my moms family cannot touch shellfish, so that’s always possible!

I hope @ChrisTurk is okay in his sandbag bunker.

I still can't believe amazon hired weather wizards to assassinate him.

Ok, good to know. Guess I'll have to go out of state to get some real Texas Toast.

Oh hey! I can’t have nanners either!

Also allergic to a specific protein that runs thru lettuce HAHAHAHA. I question how I’ve survived this long. I can only believe I’m near impossible to kill at this rate cause, holy hell, I’ve been on my death bed and then magically recovered for like no discernible reason lol.

I mean, even in the origin they were taking that thick cut toast and making it into a specific type of buttered sometimes garlic bread, which is usually what I’m referring to when I use the term and easily its most popular use at this point.

I’ve had it in Texas and basically every other southern state, especially with bbq. I’ve not really seen it where I live now outside of the freezer aisle and the very occasional restaurant.

See I've had nothing diagnosed, no allergy tests or anything. But I get really bad allergies late spring, and late summer for a few weeks.

I've noticed I get mild to annoying irritation in my throat/tongue/etc from banaynays, and most fresh plant/fruit stuff. Like biting into an apple does similar for me.

Allergies are weird to research, but my best guess was always some kind of goofy cross allergen.

Why are we still grumpy about texas toast?

I don't fly to paris for french toast/fries.

It's just a name, my dude.

I've never been to Texas, as I am a man of culture. But I find it hard to believe that you can't buy texas toast in texas. Go to the frozen bread aisle of your local grocer - and I bet it's there.

French toast has like a bagillion regional names too. It’s called “pain perdu “ in France and when I was there, it was more like a snack food than breakfast ever. OM NOM NOM

I think velveeta's pretty good, tbh. I've just never seen fancy and velveeta in the same sentence without a negative somewhere around it.

    No judgement. Shit's tasty.

One of the best things ever was having afternoon tea with French toast.

The French name means ruined bread, because they used to soak stale bread in the milk egg mixture to soften it before frying it all tasty!

They also call it eggy bread, gypsy toast, and a whole bunch of other stuff wherever you go.

Either way, it’s delicious and I like to eat it.
