    @gener Oh, I should have been more clear, that on the days you're not going in person you're expected to be doing remote learning.

    What does that remote learning look like? Hell if I know! There's no standards, it's all up to the teachers. One teacher could be live streaming class, which sucks because the teacher can't manage a class, police social distancing and make sure the kids are wearing masks, teach AND pay attention to 10-15 kids on a zoom call at the same time. One teacher could be doing pre-recorded lessons for those kids online and scheduling 1:1 time with each of them for assistance, but then who's teaching the in person class while they're helping the kids online???...one teacher could be doing the same lesson for both groups on in person days and using the online days as work time for assignments, but that sucks because it slows down the curriculum by 50%.

    WHO KNOWS?!?

    So glad we decided that we needed to get bars and restaurants open as priority #1 and punt figuring out how school was going to work/providing the funding that schools need to do any of this shit effectively until about Mid-August when everyone went "Oh. Shit. Right. School."

    John-Henry is doing the county's virtual academy. It's self paced kindergarten with weekly zoom meetings. It's pretty legit.

    The one funny thing about all this remote learning infrastructure build-out, at least in the northeast here where the mythical snow day was a thing: JOKE'S ON YOU SUCKAS, Get your butts on Zoom kids, school's still in session, doesn't matter if there's 24 feet of snow out there.
