The tuck rule was created years before that game. If it was created for him it would have been agreed upon during the off season and implemented the next season. The only rule created that involved Brady was not to hit the QB low which a lot of QB like. If want to argue the early years and owl wins and say the team made him, ill agree. It was a defense heavy team, that only needed the offense to do its job. Mid 2000s he completely took over. He commanded offenses that were always hard to stop. And it didn't matter if he had a star receiver or just people off the street(2013 season). I'm not going to take away from belichick's coaching cause the man is basically a god. I've seen him account the wind into why he wants to defer or run inside instead of outside. But you cannot act like Brady is just some run of the mill QB that can be easily swapped. 2008 saw Matt Cassel take the exact offense powerhouse team(Basically same WR, same Oline, TE) and he didn't get close to Brady's efficiency. Even when Jimmy G and Jacoby started they were not the same, although Jimmy played lights out. All I'm saying is that when he is on the field the team plays at a higher level. The defense is on edge because they know what he can and probably will do to them. Sorry for the rant

Im sorry. It's been basically 2 decades of this for me(especially living near Baltimore). I don't mind hate on Brady, the Pats, or BB. But we're long past the he ain't that great phase

 

I can say that and I will. Of course they play better when he's on the field. He is the one they practice with and run the drills with. It doesn't matter that the back up gets the same drills, that's not who they are tailored to. He's a run of the mill quarterback, with decent skills, that is only good because of the team around him thanks to an amazing coach. Put him somewhere else and watch him tank JUST like the rest of the Pats team. They're nothing without each other. They're a great team because they have an amazing coach, work hard, and work very well together. Not because Baby Tom is out of the world with his skills.

Then you should now, it's the team, not him alone.

I could type more but nah. I'll just say this. Yes in the end its still the team as its a team game, but then no player on any team in any generation can be called good or great because you'd have to factor in everything around them.
