Well but if you found out those 50% didn't get paid because they were in the crapper smoking weed instead of doing the work they were supposed to I would feel like, oh I have nothing to worry about because those people deserved to not get paid and I'm a good employee instead of a dumbass lol.

Even if it was only a 20% derpiness quotient that still lowers the pay listed by 20% which could be the difference in people thinking you pay fairly or aren't worth messing with. I don't think we should give credit for time worked to people that didn't actually do the work or didn't take the time to do it right.

Don't get me wrong i'm the first one to rage against a reject but that's because I know I always pay attention, follow instructions, and never rush through a hit, so I always deserve to be approved.

It's illegal not to pay someone for working for you period. Regardless of the quality of work. I thought most of us just accepted the fact that we can't change mturk, it's a little disheartening to see people talking about it being "fair."

 

It should also be illegal for people to pretend to work when they haven't. Lot of scammers out there on both sides of turk.
