In Texas, we have all these antiquated common laws, so I wouldn't doubt if it's enough to satisfy ownership. If you have a girlfriend or boyfriend come spend the night and they bring an over night bag, then that person basically lives in your house now. Had to learn that one the hard way.

Microchips trump everything in my experience volunteering at shelters and the pound.

 

My name is all over my neighbor's dog's vet bill. They brought home a puppy. Didn't get it vaccinated. It had parvo. They had it put down. I got involved with their older dog, because she caught it also. Vaccinate your pets people, there are discount programs if you cant afford vetting

 

My dog must know I've been talking about her. She is on the couch (I'm in my chair) about five feet from me and giving me those "I love you so much, will you please pay attention to me, and if you move I'm moving and following you!" gaze.

I would go to her but I can't move. I might sleep in my chair. I'm sure she'll join me in it if I fall asleep here.

 

The people erica is baby sitting right now had a cat who died pissing blood because they didn't clean its litter box and mostly kept the door to that room shut because their toddler kept getting into it

Erica cleaned the box once when she was over there, and they asked her not to touch it again (I'm assuming embarrassment?)

 

Why have animals if you aren't willing to take care of them They are living creatures don't make them suffer because you suck

 

Wouldn't it be easier just to teach your toddler "no touchy poop box?"

My dog knows I'm thinking about other people's dogs because now he's bringing me toys.

My cousin still goes around telling people about how my dog is actually his because he's the one who bought him or whatever, but that was nearly 3 years ago and basically the only thing he's done is bring him here. I fully plan on decking him if he says a god damn thing about me taking the dog too when I move out.

 

right? or get a set up like mine, so it can get into a closed off area but nothing else can?

I told her back when she showed me the pics of the cat box to steal the cat and bring it home too

 

THIS. Lilly knows not to touch the litter boxes. She doesn't go near them. Plus they have lids on them, so it isn't like she could go poop diving easily anyways.
I have the cat, an 11 week old puppy, and a 22 year old lab. Lilly knows not to tug tails, pet too hard, or be any sort of aggressive with them.

 

I know its so awful I actually was talking to erica about her mom and the dogs and stuff, and I was like "the worst thing is, the way your mom is treating them (ignoring them), compared to other pets out there... they got it good" and that fact makes me so damn sad

 

Also, just an FYI people, you can include pets in divorce paperwork, so don't get that twisted. I will fight you for custody of a dog, I've seen me do it.

I just noticed my dog has commenced with licking the couch.

She licks everything. For like hours. If she can get under my bedcovers, she will legit lick a ginormous wet spot on my sheets. That's always a shocker to find when climbing into bed at night. I'm not sure how she doesn't dehydrate. She even licked the leather couch we used to have and spit would just drip.

Oh snap, I just heard the cat at the door. They have a sixth sense, I tell ya. The cat never shows up this time of night.

 

Really? Poop Snacks and Snack Source doesn't seem like a good combination.

That cat is too sweet though, you'd want her too. She waits for me at the window before I should be arriving home, and then when she sees my car pull up she plops down and runs over to the door and loudly meows as I enter, standing on the entry way desk <3

 

My dog licks things sometimes, but what he really likes going for is exposed bits of skin. If you don't stop him he'll just keep going until your pants leg is wet from him licking on your ankle. Or your shirt from him licking up your arm.
