The only side effect is that when the police show up and find you in a shiny reflective material coated room, pages of "crazy" math formulas, line charts, and questionable images from all those Jury hits in your browser history... you might get put on some lists. Like alot of lists

My room also has the pull-down entrance to the attic, so heat just literally goes from the vent up to the attic. Covered the attic-side with a comforter. Double-plastic'd both windows, put up thick thermal-backed curtains and have a fleece blanket on each that goes between the curtains and plastic and just slightly hangs over the curtain rod for support.
