I didn't think we would get him, but thus far it appears we have. Unless he forgot it himself, he is gonna be 55 after all, lol. The plan tomorrow is to send him for propane (neighbor is going to switch a full with an empty so he thinks we need it), then we have one of his favorite regional bands coming to set up while he is gone. Discovered Jonny Kim today. Dude is a former Navy SEAL, a Harvard-trained medical doctor, and an astronaut who was selected for Moon landing mission for 2024. And he's only 37 years old. What a fucking legend.

 

Still has 2 first names, can't trust a man with 2 first names.

 

For the record, my original joke was gonna be something along the lines of "oh yeah well I did <x>" but I sat here for a minute and couldn't come up with a single thing I've done that'd be impressive vs any of the previously listed accomplishments, even in joke form, so I really had to resort to the low tier material in my brain to even justify hitting 'post reply'

 

That's okay, that's actually how I come up with most of my jokes. Joke posts are like surveys, once you start writing/doing them, you don't just abandon them, you complete them the best way you can and then submit and hope you don't get rejected / yikes'ed into oblivion.

 

My third strategy is just to alt/tab away, forget it's in the quote bank, and post a blank response while responding to something else 6 hours later
