My mom is a diehard cubs fan. She brought the whole family to the Cubs convention every year. She brought us to spring training in Arizona every year. The Cubs are her life. She hasn't missed a game in decades. Her life revolves around the Cubs. It's her hobby. - So naturally I became a whitesox fan, but I can't deny that because of all the joy the cubs bring her and being brought up with my mom doing her best to make me a cubs fan - I can't lie and pretend they don't have somewhat of a place in my heart.

However, something that annoys me so much is the whole "Cubs rule, sox suck" and vice versa crap. Often times I hear this coming from people who don't know the difference between the NL and the AL. I can't stand it. Being a fan of one team does not mean that you naturally have to hate the other.
